What is Paraben?
Parabens are synthetic chemicals used as preservatives in skin care, personal care products, foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals. According to EWG, parabens are absorbed easily into the skin.
Why do we choose to be Paraben-free?
Due to the harmful effects of Paraben to our skin and body, we have chosen not to use paraben as our ingredient. Research has shown that “Parabens mimic estrogen as endocrine disruptors”. They have been linked to breast cancer and reproductive problems. Parabens can cause allergic reactions. Parabens can also accelerate cellular level damage caused by UV exposure, which may lead to skin cancer. Parabens may also sensitize skin, resulting in allergic reactions.

Why do we choose
to be Paraben-free?
Nature’s Kin DO NOT include below harmful chemicals as ingredients on our products:
- Parabens
- Synthetic colors
- Fragrance
- Phthalates
- Triclosan
- Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) / Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)
- Formaldehyde
- Toluene
- Propylene glycol
- Sunscreen chemicals
Chemicals are shortcuts to achieving positive effects, but they frequently bring with them long term negative impacts, including damaging skin and blocking it’s inherent healing ability. Nature does not take short cuts, developing its healthy benefits over many centuries.
Not tested on animals.
Why should products not be tested on animals?
Nature’s Kin products are socially responsible brand. Our personal care products are never tested on animals. We believe that this practice is inaccurate so unnecessary.
In 2013, a ban on animal testing for cosmetics and the marketing of cosmetics tested on animals went into effect. And on the 3rd of May 2018, the EU Parliament urged for a worldwide ban on testing cosmetics on animals by 2023. There are over 40 countries worldwide so far, which banned or restricted animal testing on cosmetics. There is still a large part of the world where animal testing of cosmetics remains a practice.
Nature’s Kin are using ingredients with long history of safe use. We created products with latest techniques, that science has to offer replacing outdated animal tests.
Nature’s Kin support the elimination of animal testing on skin care and cosmetic products worldwide.
